With Ohio State's offense sputtering, the Silver Bullets decided to do some heavy lifting on their own.
Safety Vonn Bell opened Buckeye scoring against Minnesota with an electric 18-yard interception return that ended in the end zone. A targeting call on Joshua Perry temporarily ruined the play before being overturned upon review.
For Bell, it's his second interception of the season and his first since Hawai'i. For Ohio State, it's the 16th defensive touchdown under Urban Meyer, a number that leads the FBS since 2012.
The eventual PAT put Ohio State up 7-0 on the Gophers.
