It sure looks like Senior Day 2015, a 17-14 loss to Michigan State, was the last we've seen of Cardale Jones the Ohio State footballer in Ohio Stadium.
In his ceremonial post-game Tweet, Ohio State's championship backup quarterback says today was his "last time" entering Ohio Stadium.
Haven't seen the last of the Bucks, trust me
— Cardale Jones (@CJ12_) November 22, 2015
After Jones rose from third-stringer to national title winner by January 2015, many people speculated the strong-armed QB would enter the 2015 NFL Draft. Jones, however, shocked those same people when he held a press conference to announce his return to Ohio State.
Jones initially won the summer quarterback derby against J.T. Barrett before being benched due to red zone and third down efficiency.
If this was the last Ohio Stadium rodeo for the Iron King, he'll finish his Ohio State career with a home split of 997 yards, a completion rate of 61.6%, five touchdowns and a QB rating of 137.
Jones is currently rated anywhere between a second-round to fourth-round pick.
