Chris Ash is off to coach Rutgers, a resurrection effort that demands (seemingly) 24/7 attention.
But Ash still has one foot in the door at Ohio State, a program that's now an annual rival of the organization putting a roof over Ash's family.
That creates an awkward moments like this during Ohio State's prep for the Fiesta Bowl:
Woke up today excited about being a part of Rutgers football. Can't wait to get around our players.

Nobody is faulting Ash for walking the fence, but the unmentioned dynamic can't be denied.
Leave it to Cardale Jones, however, to take that hulking elephant in the corner by the trunk:
catch these hands when I see you at the Woody https://t.co/vgAJTuPn4Q

Darron Lee and Tyvis Powell, who are known to enjoy a Tweet or two, also had their fun:
We still got another game Coach... https://t.co/jxm5kg8kbo

Umm.... The Buckeyes still have one game to win.. #FilmRoom https://t.co/Dwa5RCQxPW

It's all fun and games unless the defense doesn't perform up to snuff. We'll blame Ash because he was too busy thinking about Rutgers, and say they should've called security the moment he announced his attention to swap scarlet. Sad but true.
