The Ohio State University is officially in Super Bowl 50.
Fast-rising nickelback Bradley Roby and the Denver Broncos defeated Tom Brady's chiseled looks and the New England Patriots on Sunday night, 20-18.
Brady linked up with tight end Rob Grownkowski with 12 seconds left, but the ensuing two-point conversion was tipped and intercepted by Roby. The Buckeye's attempts to humiliate the Michigan Man by returning the interception ultimately fell short, however.
For Roby, it's quite the ascension. The Denver Broncos selected the Ohio State star with the 31st overall pick in the 2014 NFL draft.
“The biggest thing with Rob is experience, because he has all the athletic tools. Right now, he’s hitting his peak. All the guys in the [cornerback] room can see that," Denver DB coach Joe Woods said to mmqb.com earlier this week.
The Broncos will play with winner of the Arizona Cardinals–North Carolina Panthers game. Rookie tight end Jeff Heuerman will also be apart of the Buckeye contingent, though he's still recovering from preseason ACL surgery.
