Weights and heights are often exaggerated in official team listings. No such hyperbole exists during Senior Bowl weigh-ins.
Senior Bowl preparation began on Tuesday with weighing and measuring contestants in front of 800-900 NFL scouts and personnel.
Here's how former Buckeyes fared against the scales and tape:
NUMBER | PLAYER | POSITION | HEIGHT | WEIGHT | HAND | ARM | WINGSPAN |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
1 | BRAXTON MILLER | WR | 6013 | 204 | 918 | 3178 | 7358 |
23 | TYVIS POWELL | S | 6026 | 209 | 938 | 3134 | 7718 |
37 | JOSHUA PERRY | OLB | 6036 | 253 | 1014 | 3314 | 7958 |
81 | NICK VANNETT | TE | 6056 | 256 | 10 | 3314 | 8034 |
92 | ADOLPHUS WASHINGTON | DT | 6035 | 297 | 912 | 34 | 8012 |
For comparison: Braxton Miller is listed at 6'2" and 215 pounds on Ohio State's official website. That does not, however, mean scouts were disappointed in the results:
OSU WR Braxton Miller: 6-1 3/8, 204 pounds. Listed 6-2, 215 at OSU. Looks lean and mean for #SeniorBowl

Mickey Marotti's molding of Joshua Perry's physique is old hat in Columbus, but it drew rave reviews during weigh-ins:
LB Joshua Perry: 6036, 253. Chiseled as heck. Prob best frame here.

Adolphus Washington, whose career ended in suspension, maintained his physique in the lead up to the Mobile, Alabama showcase:
DT Adolphus Washington: 6035, 297. Good measurements for him
