The 2016 recruiting class is officially on the books, and four-star North Ridgeville RB Demario McCall—one of the most versatile athletes in the nation—could prove to be one of the best signees of a star-studded class.
Though the NLI is signed, McCall isn't yet on campus and thus free to do his own media appearances. He took advantage of that with a candid interview to Dustin Fox's Bull & Fox radio show on Cleveland's 92.3 The Fan.
Some highlights of the interview:
- Ohio Stadium blew McCall away. "I was like... this is how they living."
- On Dustin Fox being a former Buckeye: "I heard."
- He praised Urban Meyer as a recruiter. "He makes you feel at home." Said Meyer called him "D" in their first conversation, which made McCall feel like Meyer already knew him.
- His grades will be first thing that will get him on the field, and he expects to play his freshman year.
- He'll start his career at H-Back, but as an athlete, he'll go "wherever they need me."
- McCall models his game after the Arizona Cardinal's Chris Johnson. "Speed kills." He doesn't have a number picked.
Overall, McCall comes across as a laid back and candid interview. Hopefully it's signs of things to come in Columbus.
