The NFL invited five Ohio State Buckeyes to the 2016 NFL Draft, and all five were selected on Thursday night during the first round. It tied a school record in first-round selections from 2006

The San Diego Chargers started the Buckeye frenzy by selecting Joey Bosa with the No. 3 overall pick. The Dallas Cowboys continued the trend with the No. 4 overall pick by selecting Ezekiel Elliott.

The New York Giants made Eli Apple somewhat of a surprise pick with the No. 10 overall selection, which gave Ohio State three Top-10 picks in the same draft for the first time in school history.

The Detroit Lions selected Taylor Decker with the 16th overall pick, and the New York Jets took Darron Lee with the 20th overall selection.

The last time Ohio State saw five players drafted was 2006 during Jim Tressel's tenure, here's how it broke down:

The Cincinnati Bengals released A.J. Hawk earlier this week; the Cleveland Browns released Donte Whitner earlier this month. As of this moment, Nick Mangold, center with the New York Jets, remains the only Buckeye from the 2006 first-round to be on an active roster.
