Ohio State is set to play under the lights on a national stage often again this fall.
Urban Meyer's Buckeyes are scheduled for four consecutive Big Ten primetime matchups in the 2016, all to be played on the ESPN family of networks, the school announced Monday.
The four games and their times are below:
- Oct. 15 at Wisconsin (8 p.m. ET on ABC, ESPN or ESPN2)
- Oct. 22 at Penn State (8 p.m. ET on ABC, ESPN or ESPN2)
- Oct. 29 vs. Northwestern (5:30 p.m. ET on either ESPN or ESPN2)
- Nov. 5 vs. Nebraska (8 p.m. ET on ABC, ESPN or ESPN2)
The four primetime kickoffs are a conference best.
Penn State announced April 19 its plans to hold its annual White Out for the Oct. 22 matchup with the Buckeyes. It did the same for the game between the two teams in 2014, one which Ohio State won 31-24 in double overtime.
The matchup at Camp Randall Stadium is the first between Ohio State and Wisconsin since the Buckeyes scourged the Badgers 59-0 in the 2014 Big Ten Championship Game. Meyer won in his first trip to Madison, Wisconsin, in 2012, 21-14 in overtime.
These are just for Big Ten games. It is widely anticipated the non-conference showdown at Oklahoma Sept. 17 will also be played under the lights at Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium in Norman, Oklahoma.
Ohio State is 46-23 all-time in primetime games (those kicking off at 5 p.m. or later local time). Since the Buckeyes lost to Virginia Tech early in 2014, they are 7-0 in games played under the lights.
