The New Orleans Saints selected two Ohio State Buckeyes in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft: wide receiver Michael Thomas and safety Vonn Bell.
Thomas and veteran quarterback Drew Brees developed an instant connection during the team's offseason organized team activities. Coaches also raved about Bell, who showed a different kind of connection with Brees during the team's first day of training camp at The Greenbrier in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia.
Though he won't look back fondly on his decision, an athletic safety like Bell can make a good decision look bad anyway. In the above video, he doesn't even leave his feet to make snare the ball.
Brees commented on the rookie's play after practice:
Drew was asked about this INT (fake laugh) "good for him...but I don't plan on that happening again"

With a safety like Bell patrolling the defensive backfield, Brees shouldn't be wonton with a word like "ever."
