Former Ohio State Tyvis Powell went undrafted in the 2016 NFL Draft before eventually signing with the Seattle Seahawks over the New York Jets.
Given the sterling, all-around performance in his professional debut Saturday night against the Kansas City Chiefs, teams may come to rue their decision to pass on Powell.
Seahawks writer Bob Condotta earlier this week projected the Hawks to cut Powell when they trimmed their roster to 53. But against the Chiefs, Powell used the ancient Urban Meyer playing time hack of balling out on special teams.
Tyvis Powell a nice tackle on kickoff return. He's standing out there today.

So there's not a chance in hell Tyvis Powell isn't making this team

Powell, playing at cornerback for a series, saved his best play for the fourth quarter when he intercepted a deflected Kevin Hogan pass and managed a small return.
For proof of how his teammates view him, watch them mob him in celebration. Did he just win a Super Bowl or intercept a pass during a preseason game in which his team trails? It's hard to tell.
