Not even one game in, and Ohio State's defensive interior line depth — lauded by coaches as a strength entering the season – took a hit.
Redshirt junior defensive tackle Tracy Sprinkle suffered a right knee injury in the first quarter against Bowling Green. BTN reported it took only "minutes" for Ohio State's medical staff to rule Sprinkle out for the rest of the game.
Sprinkle left the field riding a cart with a towel draped over his head, which is an ominous sign indeed.
While the longterm diagnosis on Sprinkle remains unknown, redshirt freshman Dre'mont Jones replaced him for the time being.
Eleven Warriors will have more on this situation as it develops.
