J.T. Barrett holds another Ohio State record.
With an 14 yard pass to Terry McLaurin in the second quarter of the Buckeyes' matchup with Rutgers, Barrett tied Bobby Hoying's school record with 57 career touchdown passes.
Barrett claims this record by playing just one full season (minus three games) as the Ohio State's signal caller. He took over for the injured Braxton Miller before the 2014 season, but an ankle injury cut his breakout run short in his 12th game. In 2015, he split time with Cardale Jones before earning the starting role midway through the season.
With well over half the season ahead of him as well as an entire season of eligibility remaining (if he chooses to return for his senior campaign), Barrett will almost certainly obliterate this long-standing record.
Barrett already owns the school record for touchdown passes in a game (6) and a season (34).
