Speaking after chants of “Larry! Larry!” echoed throughout the room, Ohio State defensive line coach Larry Johnson delivered a fiery speech to his troops following his team's overtime thriller in Madison.
His team had just rallied from a two-score halftime deficit to end the game in overtime with a walk-off sack of Badger quarterback Alex Hornibrook.
“Listen guys. I preach from the bottom of my heart. We talk about everything from the outside – I told my group today, it's what we have on the inside that makes us who we are. It's the heart that beats inside of you.”
“Today, the heart of every guy in this room came out when we needed it. Because you can talk about anything else, but your life, who you are, what you're going to be and what you're all about is inside your heart!”
