Stop us if you've heard this before: A former Ohio State player is turning heads in the NFL.
The latest is Joey Bosa, the former Buckeyes' All-American defensive end, who has only played in three career games. Bosa was named the NFL's Rookie of the Week for his performance last Sunday.
The San Diego Chargers defeated the Atlanta Falcons, 33-30 in overtime, and Bosa recorded five tackles and two sacks in the victory. Through just three games in his career, Bosa already has four sacks — tied for a team high.
Pro Football Focus recently declared Bosa as its fifth-ranked rookie already.
Thx for all the Rookie of the Week votes! Honored to get the award this week. Cool to keep it in SD for a 2nd straight week!

“That’s awesome. Anytime I can play well and help my team win, it means a lot," Bosa said, via Chargers.com. "But to be recognized by the fans like that is really cool. Our fans especially have been great. To have their support means a lot.”
Bosa and the Chargers take on the Denver Broncos on Sunday at 4:05 p.m. ET.
