Tim May of dispatch.com reported earlier this week Ohio State co-defensive Luke Fickell is "aggressively" chasing the Cincinnati vacancy.
For Fickell, the move would make sense. He's been an assistant since 2002, albeit with one year of interim head coaching experience in 2011. Him wanting to leave the nest isn't surprising to anyone who pays attention to such things.
But Fickell apparently isn't the only assistant drawing Bearcat interest. Here's Cincinnati Enquirer sports reporter Tom Groeschen:
#UC has met in last day or so with '2 OSU assistants,' a source says. Read into that what you will.

Adding two plus two, we almost certainly know one to be Fickell. The other? Apparently Ohio State secondary and special teams coach Kerry Coombs:
Scenario making rounds: #OSU's Fickell could become #UC head coach, with Coombs as defensive coordinator. Hmm.

Coombs would be a smart hire for Fickell, as he's a high school coaching legend at Cincinnati Colerain. He also coached the Bearcat secondary from 2007 to 2011.
Add this in the pot with USF interest in co-defensive coordinator Greg Schiano, and Urban Meyer could be staring down the barrel of losing 75% of his defensive staff.
