Mark your calendars: The 2017 version of Ohio State's annual spring scrimmage is set for April 15 at Ohio Stadium.

Start time for the spring game was not announced by the program, but it did say spring drills are set to open on March 7 at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center. The 2017 Buckeyes worked out together on Tuesday for the first time under the watchful eyes of strength coach Mickey Marotti.

Ohio State is set to use the indoor field at the WHAC in addition to the basketball and racquetball courts for workouts while construction takes place. Among the renovations include work in the weight room, though the imminent changes were not outlined in a press release.

The Buckeyes also confirmed the early enrollment of nine members of the 2017 recruiting class, who are all taking classes full time. The nine players and their positions as listed by Ohio State: Linebacker Baron Browning, running back J.K. Dobbins, quarterback Tate Martell, offensive lineman Josh Myers, safety Isaiah Pryor, safety Jeffrey Okudah, cornerback Shaun Wade, cornerback Marcus Williamson and athlete Brendon White.

The nine early enrollees are the most ever for Ohio State. The previous high was seven in January 2014 and 2016.

Ohio State's spring break is scheduled for March 13-17, of which the team will have off and then resume practice.

The Buckeyes finished 11-2 in 2016, losing to Clemson 31-0 in the Fiesta Bowl as part of the College Football Playoff. Ohio State's 2017 season opener is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 31 at Indiana.
