Many analysts and scouts think Marshon Lattimore is worthy of a top-5 pick. The Ohio State cornerback only started for one season in Columbus but made it apparent he is among the class of his position group at the NFL Combine on Monday.
Lattimore ripped off an unofficial 4.36-second 40-yard dash at Lucas Oil Stadium. That was the fastest time among defensive backs before Minnesota's Jalen Myrick posted a 4.29.
“He and [Malik] Hooker are both one-year starters, this kid's pretty clean though,” NFL Analyst Mike Mayock said on NFL Network. “Everything he does on tape screams 'I'm a top-10 pick.' I'm pretty comfortable with him as a top-10 pick.”
Lattimore topped his teammate and fellow corner Gareon Conley with this sprint. Conley ran an official 4.44 a little earlier.
Lattimore also turned in a 38.5-inch vertical leap and put forth an 11-foot broad jump.
Quite the athleticism for a guy who only really played one season of college football.
