Ohio State offensive lineman Kyle Trout will play the 2017 season with Cincinnati. This much was known.
When the university released the spring roster, however, the 6-6, 310-pounder from Lancaster was still listed.
This was no error. An Ohio State spokesman confirmed to Eleven Warriors' Eric Seger that Trout is still with the team... for now.
OSU spokesman: OL Kyle Trout remains practicing with the Buckeyes this spring as he finishes degree, then will transfer to Cincinnati.

"I think it's a win-win for everybody," Ohio State coach Urban Meyer said of the situation in his press conference.
Trout majors in family resource management.
A four-star recruit, Trout was a member of Ohio State's 2014 recruiting class. He never made a start for the Buckeyes in 2015 or 2016 after redshirting his first year on campus, instead serving in a reserve role on the offensive line.
