Ohio State football observed its annual Urban Meyer-installed tradition of Student Appreciation Day on Saturday. The university banned media from filming the practice portions. Students, however, were allowed to Snapchat until their faces melted across their iPhone screens.
Enter professional Ohio State sixteenth grader and Eleven Warriors CEO Kevin Harrish, whom we embedded amongst the students to bring the coverage die-hards crave. Here is what he saw.

The deep ball will be a topic of discussion this year and has been emphasized in spring practice. While J.T. Barrett and Dwayne Haskins showcased throws that looked good in the air despite not finding their target.
The deep ball is certainly part of the offense, but they haven't exactly completed one yet. pic.twitter.com/64UIXlkwkG

Haskins later connected with K.J. Hill for a touchdown, as shown in this video from Lantern TV:

No Student Day is complete without the ol' circle drill. Here Terry McClaurin bulldozing Damon Arnette:

Other observations from Harrish, whom you should follow on Twitter:
Luke Farrell has made a couple big catches so far. He just broke loose for a 30 yard touchdown.

The tight end flag route seems popular in this offense.

Joe Burrow is looking a lot more shifty than people give him credit for.

Sounds like another productive day at the office for the local team, which returns to our lives officially in 145 days.
