Call it a "Hancock House Call."
On Ohio State's first defensive possession of the second half, Rutgers quarterback Gavin Wimsatt drove the Scarlet Knights into the Buckeyes' side of the field. Then, on 2nd-and-7 from the Ohio State 20-yard line, Wimsatt lobbed a pass over the middle. Josh Proctor and Jordan Hancock were in perfect position – the former deflecting the pass, the latter securing an interception.
Hancock took the interception 93 yards for a touchdown.

Hancock's interception return was one of the longest in Ohio State history, trailing Will Allen (100 vs. San Diego State, 2003), Marlon Kerner (100 vs. Purdue, 1993), David Brown (100 vs. Purdue, 1986) and Damon Arnette (96 vs. Indiana, 2019).
With Hancock's touchdown, Ohio State took a 14-9 lead over Rutgers. The Buckeyes trailed the Scarlet Knights, 9-7, at the intermission.
