It wasn't the most eventful spring game in Ohio State's history, but there were still plenty of takeaways to be had from the annual conclusion of the Buckeyes' spring practice.

Devin Brown and Will Howard continued battling atop Ohio State's heap at quarterback, with Brown appearing to have the best overall day while freshman Julian Sayin's hype train slowed with a shaky first half.

Competition continued on the offensive line as well as the Buckeyes rotated Seth McLaughlin and Carson Hinzman at center and Hinzman and Tegra Tshabola at right guard on the first team, but the position remains an open candidate for transfer portal additions after Ryan Day said the front five isn't “there right now.”

Depth was on display at offensive skill positions and on the defensive side of the football, particularly in the secondary, on the defensive line and at running back.

Eleven Warriors' Andy Anders and Dan Hope broke down their observations from the spring game in a postgame episode of Press Coverage, which you can view in the video player at the top of the page.
