Luke Fickell just witnessed two players from his position room become draft picks in Darron Lee and Joshua Perry. As Ohio State's defensive coordinator, it is his job to get the push the next guys up to do the same thing.
Fickell doesn't get as jacked up as Ohio State's hype man, Kerry Coombs, but you can see the fire that drove him as a player still burns inside him during practice courtesy of the program's video team.
Check out the video above to see Fickell in the middle of pursuit drills, place a bet with Coombs on who among the freshmen would lose his black stripe first and joke with Keandre Jones about showing off his abs.
Fickell's defense must replace nine starters but the main man in charge of it seems mostly at ease with the task.
