Ohio State's first official practice since the Fiesta Bowl debacle is at last in plain view. We knew its date for a while. Now we know the rest of the program's spring schedule.
The Buckeyes commence spring drills on Tuesday for the sixth time under Urban Meyer. Ohio State saw six players from its 2016 outfit spurn their remaining eligibility and turn pro and also said goodbye to center Pat Elflein, the most recent winner of the Rimington Trophy. Fifteen starters are back for Meyer, however, still with the putrid taste of a 31-0 butt-kicking from eventual national champion Clemson in the Fiesta Bowl as part of the College Football Playoff in their mouths.
Ohio State is set to practice 14 times from March 7 to April 16, the date of the annual spring game. Kickoff for that is set for 12:30 p.m. from Ohio Stadium.
