The news was first reported Andrew Erickson of the Columbus Dispatch and confirmed by an Ohio State spokesman.

Mavunga is the team's leading rebounder and second leading scorer, averaging a double-double with 11.3 rebounds and 11.8 points per game.
In her absence, the Buckeyes will lean on freshman Tori McCoy and junior Alexa Hart, who has been nursing a sprained ankle causing her to miss last week's game against Wisconsin.
Ohio State coach Kevin McGuff told the Columbus Dispatch they are optimistic she will return before the end of the season.
