Urban Meyer is 6-0 as an underdog at Ohio State, which means Bob Stoops and the Oklahoma Sooners received bad news Monday morning.
While nobody expects the young 2016 Buckeyes to be favored when they roll into Norman on Sept. 17, one Vegas casino says the Sooners will be by less than a touchdown.
Las Vegas' South Point casino released a flurry of 2016 odds Monday, and it says Ohio State will be 6.5-point underdogs entering its first road game of the season, which sounds like a sensible enough line to entice betting on both sides. Oklahoma was favored by as many as nine points early last month.
Perhaps more notably, however, South Point lists Ohio State as 5-point favorites against Jim Harbaugh's Michigan Wolverines on Nov. 26. According to the Las Vegas Super Book, Michigan is more favored to win the 2017 title than Ohio State:
