Welp, Ohio State is rolling the dice on the regulation of the Mirror Lake jump once again, according to The Lantern.
Last year, the school announced it would require participants to wear wristbands, which were "purchased" with a valid BuckID.
Some Ohio State students/non-associates — led by the legendary Chilliam Wallace — simply ignored the regulation attempts and jumped in on the traditional Thursday night without wristbands. Campus police, to their credit, didn't arrest anybody for it.
This year, there were rumors that Mirror Lake would be drained during the annual November jump, but those rumors turned out to not be true. But, the fences around Mirror Lake and the need for a wristband will return a little under two weeks from today.
It remains to be seen if it will be enforced harder than it was last year.
