In a late addition to the schedule, Ohio State headed north from Texas to Illinois where they beat the Fighting Illini 4-1. After a doubles point win, Robert Cash, Jack Anthrop and Alexander Bernard each won their singles matches in straight sets to clinch the dual. Justin Boulais lost his singles match but was one of the doubles winners.

The Buckeyes resume their Texas tour when they visit the Longhorns Sunday afternoon.
