Ohio State's men may be spectators in basketball this Saturday through Monday, but they were playing and winning other court games. The wins precede what promises to be a huge day in OSU sports on April 13 when spring football, a key men's volleyball match and the #1 men's tennis team will all be on tap in Columbus.
In men's tennis, the Buckeyes continue their roll through the Big Ten schedule, sweeping Penn State 7-0 with only one singles player (Preston Stearns) requiring a third set. A home dual against Michigan State comes next to Columbus on April 13.
On the volleyball court, the Buckeyes ended an up-and-down regular season with a dominating sweep (25-10, 25-16, 25-13) of Maryville University. The complete regular season record is 19-8. The MIVA Tournament, with an NCAA Tournament bid on the line, begins at home on April 13 against an opponent TBD (Update: with the rest of the MIVA season complete, the qusrterfinal opponent will now be Lewis University, starting at 5 pm Eastern time.)
