Ohio State blows out Indiana, 38-15. Now, it's time to do the same to That Team Up North.
Former Ohio State kicker Mike Nugent is back in the NFL after signing with the Dallas Cowboys on Tuesday.
A four-year kicker and two-time All-American at Ohio State (2001-04), Nugent was a free agent for the first seven weeks of the NFL season after being released by the New York Giants at the end of the preseason. The Cowboys signed Nugent to fill in for their regular kicker, Dan Bailey, who is out for multiple weeks due to a strained groin.
Nugent's first appearance in a game for the Cowboys will mark his 13th season in the NFL. A second-round pick of the New York Jets in 2005, Nugent spent his first four NFL seasons in the Big Apple, then spent the last seven seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals after brief stints with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Arizona Cardinals.
The Cowboys now have four former Ohio State players on their roster, with Nugent joining former Buckeye running backs Ezekiel Elliott and Rod Smith and former Buckeye wide receiver Noah Brown.
