The Eleven Warriors Web Report comes to you weekly from the Spectrum Sports studios in downtown Columbus, featuring our own Beau Bishop and recruiting analyst Andrew Lind.
With college football's first early signing day quickly approaching, Ohio State will have to hold off several programs in order to land four-star quarterback Emory Jones and four-star safety Jaiden Woodbey.
And while you would think the Buckeyes would have the upper hand in their respective recruitments, Lind suggested both prospects may sign elsewhere on Wednesday.
"I think Ohio State presents the best opportunity for [Jones] to succeed in the future, [though] he may not see the field as he would at Florida," Lind said.
USC, meanwhile, has made a late push for Woodbey. His father, Donnell, played for the Trojans in the early 1990s, and the proximity to home certainly plays in their favor.
"Two months ago, I would have said he was all Ohio State," Lind said. "But that distance just becomes a factor. If you don't make back to campus over a certain amount of time, you have all these people in your ear saying, 'Stay home. Play with us.' It just gets to be too much."
Dan Hope, James Grega and former Ohio State wide receiver Evan Spencer also joined Bishop for this week's Eleven Warriors Report, which airs on Spectrum Sports Mid-Ohio at 7 p.m. Tuesday. Among the topics up for discussion: Ohio State's preparation for USC in the Cotton Bowl and the basketball Buckeyes' solid start under first-year coach Chris Holtmann.
