BEAT MICH(AGAIN)

Since 1982, Michigan and Ohio State have staged a blood donation "battle" in correlation with The Game. It has grown to one of the largest blood donation competitions in the country, with each campus donating more than 2,500 units a year.

The 2013 battle runs from Nov. 1-26, and OSU seeks to keep the trophy after beating Michigan last year.  When you come to donate during the battle this year you can:

  • vote for your school
  • get a campaign sticker
  • enter to win a pair of tickets to the anticipated OSU-Michigan game on Nov. 30 at Michigan.
  • if you come to donate on the OSU campus, you also get a Blood Battle T-shirt and a coupon for Chipotle!

CURRENT SCORE:

  • Ohio State =  89% of goal to date     (869 donations)
  • Michigan =    105% of goal to date    (860 donations)

About the Score:

  • Each school has an overall goal of reaching 2,500 donations by the end of Blood Battle.
  • The percent of goal shows how well the school is doing in comparison with their daily target.
  • The actual donation numbers show the total donations so far.  OSU has more large drives at the beginning of Blood Battle.  Michigan has more large drives toward the end. Typically OSU numbers are higher early in the Battle, but Michigan has more opportunities to overtake OSU later in the Battle.
