The Shockers did pretty much everything they possibly could've. They shot 55% from the floor, hit 47% of their threes, had a player score 31 points, and went toe to toe with one of the best and therefore sleaziest coaches in the game.
And lost.
UK/Wichita State was one of the best games of the tournament so far, with both teams trading body blows for the last five minutes of the game. Kentucky has emerged as a force in the last half of the season, and showed why as four players scored 13 points or more and they out rebounded the Shockers by nine.
It'd be unfortunate if Wichita State was remembered as an overrated team that was exposed by a middling Kentucky team, because this was an incredible game between two teams playing at a very high level. The bad guys won, but it was a hell of a ride for the Shockers. Applause for all involved.
