Kansas completed a massive comeback and cut down the nets.
The Jayhawks capped off a spectacular postseason run in equally spectacular fashion, overcoming a 15-point halftime deficit to beat North Carolina 72-69 in Monday night's NCAA Tournament championship game.
The comeback was the largest in NCAA championship game history.
It was a back-and-forth game for much of the first, but towards the end of the half, the Tar Heels took control. North Carolina caught fire on both ends of the court and closed the first half on an 18-3 run to take a 40-25 lead into halftime.
But Kansas fought all the way back.
The Jayhawks exploded in the second half to erase the North Carolina lead. Kansas went on a 31-10 run through the first 10 minutes of the second half to take a six-point lead themselves.
From then, it was a back-and-forth game with Kansas ultimately coming out on top after North Carolina's Caleb Love missed a three-point attempt as time expired.
This marks the fourth NCAA Tournament championship for the Jayhawks, who previously won titles in 1952, 1988 and 2008.
