James, son of NBA legend LeBron James, committed to USC over Ohio State and Oregon back in May. The 6-foot-3 combo guard is a five-star prospect and the No. 22 overall recruit in the 2023 class.
In July of 2022, five-star USC freshman Vince Iwuchukwu suffered a sudden cardiac arrest during an informal team workout with the Trojans and was sidelined indefinitely. Iwuchukwu was eventually cleared to play in January.
Major story in college basketball just emerged.

This is the second straight offseason that USC has had a player collapse during a workout. A year ago, it was Vince Iwuchukwu, who was cleared to play this past January. https://t.co/vj2yb34hLx
