Urban Meyer makes it clear: Recruiting is the lifeblood of the program. It's a lesson Tom Herman apparently took to heart.
Houston's new frontman made recruiting the Texas metropolis a priority, and it's already paying dividends.
Houstonian Ed Oliver, a five-star defensive tackle and the No. 20 player in 2016 class, became the third member of Houston's 2016 class moments ago, according to ESPN's Gerry Hamilton. Oliver's high school coach, Corby Meekins, is an assistant under Herman.
Houston beat out Alabama, LSU, and Texas among others for the commitment.
Obviously, National Signing Day 2016 isn't until February, but this is nothing but great news for Herman's program.
