TaxSlayer.Com Gator Bowl, Two Others Audited by IRS

In retrospect, it was probably a bad idea to brag about how many taxes you've slayed. From CBS:

The Internal Revenue Service has notified three bowls -- Alamo, Gator and Fight Hunger -- of audits over recent tax returns, bowl officials told CBSSports.com. IRS audits of non-profit organizations can be fairly routine or alarming, depending on the situation.

Florida and Ohio State played in the January 2012 Gator Bowl, a dream matchup for a bowl in the middle tier of SEC and Big Ten postseason matchups. Executive director Richard Catlett made $336,373 during that span, according to the 990.

$336,373 to direct the freakin' TaxSlayer.com Gator Bowl. Yeah, I hope this guy gets audited into a jail cell. (No, I'm not bitter about Gene Smith sacrificing the worst OSU team in 50 years to Will Muschamp and the Florida Gators, why do you ask?)
