Bert Bielema's Arkansas tenure started off like a dream: 3-0.
But then a trip to mighty Rutgers, in which Arkansas lost, 28-24, tombstoned the Razorbacks' season almost on the spot.
Arkansas went 0-8 against SEC competition for the first time in the school's history. Alabama punked them 52-0. Hatin' Ass Spurrier and South Carolina clowned them 52-7.
Their offense finished the season ranked 100; their defense finished 73rd.
It was an unmitigated disaster, by almost any metric.
It was also apparently some sort of improvement to whatever state Arkansas' program was in before Bert Bielema came home to the Ozarks:
