As further proof bye-weeks are always a dicey proposition for teams construed of 18-22 year-olds, Michigan senior defensive end Frank Clark was arrested in Erie County over the weekend on domestic violence charges.
Yesterday, the police report emerged, and the details were, uh, not good.
But credit where it's due: Brady Hoke, even with his job hanging in the balance, just did the right thing by jettisoning his top defensive player. Take a note, Jimbo Fisher.
Here's Brady Hoke's full statement, released by Michigan moments ago:
“Frank Clark has been dismissed for violating team rules from the Michigan football program. This is a tragic situation. Our student-athletes will be held accountable when their actions fail to meet the standard we have at Michigan. There is a legal process that will occur and we respect that process.”
