Virginia Tech is doing its best to bludgeon Ohio State's all-important but ambiguous "playoff résumé," and today the Hokies added some more weight to their hammer.
The 2014 Virginia Tech team reached its zenith today, when it tied almighty Wake Forest (124th in total offense) 0-0 at the end of regulation. The game went to overtime, which of course the Hokies lost 6-3.
At this point I assume some sort of witchcraft was involved in Ohio State's September defeat to these guys.
The Hokies fell to 5-6 on the season and seventh place in the ACC Coastal Division. They play host to Virginia next week with a bowl bid on the line.
