Michigan State, who will be playing Baylor in the Cotton Bowl, lost to Oregon and Ohio State; both of whom, unlike Michigan State or Baylor, are in the playoffs. And as the quarterback of Michigan State, Cook is in an interesting position to gauge both teams as they head into the playoffs, in which again, Connor Cook (or Michigan State, or Baylor) are not participating.
