For the last two seasons, Penn State's season has ended after 12 games regardless of how it played throughout the year.
On Saturday, the Nittany Lions, which had NCAA sanctions barring them from the postseason lifted earlier this season, beat Boston College in the Pinstripe Bowl in New York. The win is the first for the program since winning the Capital One Bowl in 2010.
For what it's worth, Penn State took Ohio State to double overtime in State College before ultimately losing, 31-24, in late October.
After the game, head coach James Franklin offered this reaction, according to Penn State beat writer Ben Jones of StateCollege.com:
"You want to talk about culture?" James Franklin screams into the mic at midfield. "This is culture."
