Now that a new era at Michigan is underway, head coach Jim Harbaugh is starting to assemble his staff, which involves a plan to poach a pair of former assistants.
According to Bruce Feldman of FOXSports.com, Harbaugh is after Stanford defensive coordinator Lance Anderson and Florida defensive coordinator/interim head coach D.J. Durkin. Anderson has been with the Cardinal since 2007 and Durkin was Stanford's defensive ends coach/special teams coordinator from 2007-09 before moving to the Gators.
Jim Harbaugh is pushing to land #Stanford DC Lance Anderson at #Michigan, per source. Anderson has been invaluable in building that program.

Am told Jim Harbaugh's pursuit of Lance Anderson is in line with him hoping to land LA & D.J. Durkin & retain Mattison at #Michigan

Harbaugh, according to Feldman, also intends on retaining current defensive coordinator Greg Mattison, which could potentially mean the Wolverines would have three defensive coordinators on their staff.
So, Jim Harbaugh's trying to hire three defensive coordinators.
