The SEC's hatred of satellite camps, while hilariously infantile, is also somewhat understandable. It's a hyper-competitive sport, and the elite coaches won't sleep if they find their competition has an advantage over them.
One route to go would be whining about it like Nick Saban. Another is to use the opportunity to throw shade at the man backdoor recruiting in your school's footprint.
Mississippi State's Dan Mullen, once Urban Meyer's offensive coordinator at Florida, went with the latter route.

To be fair to Michigan high school football: It is capable of producing talent (see: Cass Tech-to-OSU pipeline), but there's no question Mullen won this round. Michigan fans may need another two-star commitment to soothe this burn.
