Tim Wright, the Buccaneers TE who once played at Rutgers, naturally had to leave the university to achieve greater heights. (The Patriots traded with the Buccaneers for Wright before last season.)
Wright and his Super Bowl ring are in Piscataway today, and this is the biggest moment for Rutgers football and Flood since being crowned 2012 Co-Champions of the now defunct Big East Conference. (Virginia Tech beat them 13-10 in the 2012 Citrus Bowl.)
Flood is 23-16 in three years at Rutgers.
