Looks like Jim Harbaugh isn't about to carry dead weight into his inevitable four-loss inaugural campaign at Michigan.
From Steve Schrader of Freep.com:
Tight end Keith Heitzman — one of several fifth-year players to leave Michigan after Jim Harbaugh replaced Brady Hoke — says he just wasn't interested in the new coach's plan to have them try out for their jobs in spring practice.
"Obviously, Harbaugh coming in was going to change things at Michigan — do things his way," Heitzman told the Columbus Dispatch. "But I didn't know if I wanted to try out. That definitely took me off-guard. I was bummed out."
Heitzman, a Hilliard product recruited by Brady Hoke, will (ironically) finish his career at the actual Ohio University.
