Steve Sarkisian is gone from USC, and Chip Kelly may be the man to replace him... in January.
It's middle of October — it's Week 6 in the NFL and Chip's Philadelphia Eagles are 2-3 entering a crucial divisional showdown with the New York Giants on Monday Night Football — not the opportune time to make a sales pitch to a guy.
That still won't stop a reporter from asking about internet speculation that USC would be a perfect spot to return to college football — should Chip want that.
Chip Kelly said that no one from Southern Cal - or any college - has contacted him about its head coaching opening.

Maryland's president seems hot for Chip Kelly too. One thing is certain: Even if the Eagles flame out, Chip Kelly will have multiple colleges throwing millions of dollars at him. Not a bad Plan B in the least.
