Les Miles, when not doing inexplicably bad things, is a coach we've all come to know and love.
Yet despite winning a championship and battling Alabama's dynasty tooth and nail, Miles hasn't lost less than three games since 2011. Sophomore freak RB Leonard Fournette was able to mask the inadequacies of LSU's 2015 team for the first third of the season, but the Tigers have lost three games in a row, and none of them were close.
Bad news for a coach who faced job security rumors heading into this weekend's game with Ole Miss (a 38-17 loss).
On Monday, it appears Les Miles will call one of those ominous, behind-closed-doors meetings with his team.
From nola.com:
After Saturday's loss to Ole Miss, the Mad Hatter told reporters that he was going to address the team about the increasing chatter concerning his future in Baton Rouge. "It's going to be in the paper. I might as well explain it to them," Miles said. This "special meeting" could be just that; Les Miles addressing the team about the multiple media reports stating his job is in jeopardy.
But then again, there could be more to it. As stated earlier, everything he does from here on out will be dissected by fans and media alike.
SEC coaches are dropping like flies, and it will be a seller's market this summer. No doubt the LSU job would be one of the most coveted, however.
LSU heads to Texas A&M, another once-hyped SEC team limping to the finish line, this Saturday for both teams' regular season finale.
