Well, nobody saw this coming. Bronco Mendenhall is leaving Brigham Young to takeover the Virginia Cavaliers.
Mendenhall, still only 49-years-old, coached the Cougars since 2005, where he was 99-42 as head coach. He will coach BYU in the Las Vegas Bowl.
Mendenhall replaces the fired Mike London, who finished 4-8 in his sixth year and 51-51 overall.
