When Tom Herman left Ohio State for Houston, he didn't take a page from Urban Meyer; he took the whole book. It culminated with a 13-1 first season, an American Athletic Conference championship, and a Peach Bowl victory over Florida State.
So nobody is faulting Chris Ash for doing the same at Rutgers. Ash, after all, has a culture to build.
One of the many assistants Ash poached from Ohio State was former assistant strength coach Kenny Parker, who is now the lead strength man at Rutgers. It appears the Scarlet Knights' weight program will mirror Mickey Marotti's, even down to the famous St. Valetine's Day Massacre workout.

Did Rutgers get better? Its players think so:
Definitely by far the hardest lift of my life. Netflix and COD for the rest of the day.

We'll finally see what the dudes from Rutgers look like on Sept. 3 against Washington in Seattle. A victory would make for a helluva opening statement for the Ash Era.
Ohio State will get its first glimpse of Ash's Scarlet Knights when they come to Columbus on Oct. 1.
