Like most Ohio State fans, I almost forgot Purdue played football. As it turns out, the Boilermakers are 3-8 and play Indiana on Saturday. Sounds like they wont retain the services of interim coach Gerad Parker, either.
The Boilermakers reportedly contacted a few candidates and want to lock up their target quickly. One unemployed coach is Les Miles, who already said he wants to coach next year.
Could it be a type of romance usually found in the West Lafayette Arby's lobby?
From former Gold and Black Illustrated editor Dough Griffiths:
I'm hearing Les Miles very well could be guy for #Purdue job. Announcement could be coming very soon.

Not saying it's Miles but I'd be stunned if we don't know next #Purdue coach by kickoff of Bucket game.

Purdue hiring Miles would either be the great coupe in program history or it would be an unmitigated disaster that would set them back another decade.
This is exactly why Purdue needs to hire the Warlock.
